20 Years!

Oh my gosh I can't believe I'm already tearing up before I even start typing, lol!

20 years ago today, I married the man of my dreams, my soul mate, my knight in shining armor. This is what I've been saving up for for FOREVER (that's a lot of "fors"!) to give him tonight:



If I could do it all over again, I would without question. Rob is truly my other half and without him my life would not be complete.

I'll be sure to post all the fun things we're going to do to celebrate (well, not ALL, lol!!), including our night out this weekend at The Chart House in my hometown of Annapolis, Maryland:



I used to hang out at "the docks" in Annapolis growing up, have boated through the marina, sat on "the rocks" by the water at the Naval yard, and used to eat at The Chart House (one of my favorite restaurants) so there are a lot of good memories for me there. The Chart House overlooks all of those places, so when Rob surprised me with reservations there, my heart melted.

I also have a huge box from Pro Flowers that I'm not allowed to open until he gets home because there's something sentimental about what's inside that he wants to be there for. :)

And.....I'm hoping and praying that there might be "two tickets to paradise" (we have planned for years to play that song when we finally do this) for the honeymoon we've never had, but with his health and our finances not being great, I'm not sure that's going to be possible. We shall see.

In the meantime, this is for Rob. 20 years ago, I was almost 17, he was 21. Everyone thought we wouldn't last. But I never, ever had a doubt. Ever. I knew he was the one....it's a soul thing. Souls don't lie. :)

Yes, we started our life, and our family, together sooner than we expected, but I have never regretted any of it for a moment. I never felt that I missed out on anything, as people warned me I would. In fact, I've felt just the opposite...that my heart was complete and my life so full from the moment I met him.

These past twenty years have been the happiest of my entire life.
