Best Day Evah!!!

Oh my gosh. Ever have one of those days that is just friggin perfect? Yeah...I had me one today!

First of all, I had my entire house cleaned today by my maids, which always puts me in a good mood. Then, I headed out to pick up my groceries that someone else had to shop for because I use an online service (that only charges a $5 fee...and no tipping allowed!). I just pull up, and they load my groceries in my trunk for me. Awesome!

Picked up a rotisserie and some side dishes from the store for dinner so I didn't have to cook. Then, I took Sophie to the groomer. Look how she turned out:

She's a tiny, little thing without all the fur to hide under, lol.

I got to go on a shopping spree at the pet store for needed supplies (I always love it when I have to buy stuff). That t-shirt she's wearing? That's her thunderstorm t-shirt. That's right. The vet said that studies show if you put a dog who's afraid of t-storms in in a tight fitting t-shirt, it calms them down. So we'll see if it works next time it storms. But in the meantime, isn't she adorable:

Yes, my Sophie is a "rock and roll princess" hahahaha.

I also bought her a harness because I heard that small dogs shouldn't wear collars because it can cause their tracheas to collapse. I asked my mom if that was true and it turns out it happened to her dog, so the harness was #1 on my list. I got her an outdoor lead and stake for the ground, too. "Pill Pockets" to hide her calming medicine in (those things worked SO good!) Oh and bunny food, lol. (for the bunny, not Sophie).

Okay, so while Sophie was being groomed, Amanda and I headed over to the tanning salon. Thanks to my wonderful husband who spoils me rotten, I can now tan in the premium....uh huh!...beds unlimited for the month...his bday gift to me. *love*

I'm all for skin safety and all that, so I'm only doing it gradually for the month in order to get a base and that's it. Then it's self-tanning creams. Have you ever tried using tanning creams on pale skin? You pretty much have to be perfect or every little streak will show. Not good. So I want to build a base with the tanning booths so I won't scare everyone away at the pool.

Next, it was on to the salon for a mani/pedi. Oh my gosh how I love my mani/pedis!!! It's been WAY too long since I had one. But thanks to my loving, generous daughter Amanda, I got the works tonight:

Oh, and that's a venti, iced, soy, decaff Mocha from Starbucks in my hands. Yes, Starbucks with a mani/pedi. Can I got a holla?! But I know you were totally focused on the glorious cleavage on the salon lady instead, right? :)

And here are the results (note the design with sparkly jewels on my fingers and toes):

How much better can a day get than that? I'm soaking it in now because tomorrow, I have to get a transvaginal sonogram for an ovarian cyst (at least I hope it's just a cyst) and then on Thursday, I have a gyno appointment.

Yes, for my birthday, I will be in stirrups getting a cold, metal speculum shoved up my girlie parts and scraped where things shouldn't be scraped. So you see why I had to celebrate my birthday today instead. :)

One question. Whatever happened to Karma? After Amanda spent all that money on me, she came home to find her hard drive completely crashed. Everything gone. Unrecoverable. Every document. Every photo. Every everything. Where's the fairness in that????

Not such a good day for her. :(

First of all...this day sounds like my day on Monday with my daughter...we did the nail / pedicure thing too!! Even the Starbucks! Sophie looks absolutely adorable!!! She is a very cute baby girl!! If the TShirt doesn't work for her, I do know of a special Anxiety Harness type thing and all of the proceeds go to Bichon Rescue. And if you are interested in a carseat for her...they have those too! Free Shipping! I know because I now have two of them...and a pink stroller...The Happy Trails Pink Pet Stroller...it is Super Cute!! Oh man...hope your appointment goes ok. Sorry to hear you are havin' problems again. :( And Amanda's hard drive....that definitely sucks. I have been there and it is just the pits. I hope you have a SUPAH DUPAH Birthday!!! YOU GO GIRL!!

~POPPY- Hehehe. "The Birthday Scrape." I'm going to call it that now. Dare me to go in with one of those party blowers and blow on it when he does the scrape? ROFL!

~BP- Isn't it the BEST?!!! I'm so glad you all had such a good time too! I wish every day could be like this one.

Thanks for the info on the harness. I'll email you if the shirt doesn't work. I actually used Natalie's booster seat for Sophie today, lol.

You know what I'm wondering if they have? Sophie loves to be carried around like a baby and when I'm cooking and stuff I can't hold her.

I'm wondering if they sell baby slings for puppies. Do you know of any? (Probably sounds crazy to anyone who is not a Bichon lover, lol)

Maids and dog grooming??. Apparently there is no recession in NoVa. I'm moving to Leesburg! ; )

Good for you Dawn! I just hope your birthday isn't anticlimactic by comparison. Love the toes, btw. ; ) *further lascivious comments withheld*

Let me know how the t-shirt works for your baby. My Cesar (the shih tzu) hates thunderstorms also. He has been known to claw and scratch through wooden doors. Living in Florida our summers have daily thunderstorms and I hate to keep him medicated that much.

Happy Birthday to you!!!

Glad you had such a good day! An early Happy Birthday for tomorrow and good luck at the doc's appointment.

And as for Karma. Lately so many things have happened that make me think it has taken a leave of absence from our planet for a while. Poor Amanda!!! :(

There is a way (costly but worth it) if you have something like that happen to your hard drive.

You are right about the cleavage on your pedicurist.

I bought the hubby a pedicure last year for his birthday and he really loved it. I should have checked for cleavage, tho.. huh?

My DREAM day except for the soy but hey. And I didn't even notice the cleavage til you pointed it out. Nice. That sounds like truly the best day evah! Last year I got a massage and pedi on my birthday. I think you almost have to. I have maid envy.

~John- hahahaha! Thanks! No there is definitely a recession here. I don't usually get to spend obscene amounts of money. Unfortunately. *sniff* (although the maids and dog grooming are on a regular basis, but those ARE necessities, you know) :)

~Trish- Oh wow! Poor thing! Thankfully Sophie hasn't been that bad. And wouldn't you know that there hasn't been any thunder since I bought the t-shirt. Thought it was going to start tonight, but then it fizzled out. I'll let you know how it works when we do finally get one.

~Eddie- LOL! Thanks! I don't like to bleed, so I'll stick with my pedicurist. :)

~Dutchy- Thank you! And as for Karma leaving, that would be really sucky. I hope it returns soon.

~Pamela- Yeah, it was going to be from one to two thousand to recover it. :( I'm going to check with my homeschooling group because I know some of the dads work in silicon valley here and are big time techies.

~Letera- By friend you meant me right? Because I totally missed your visit, but we can reschedule and you can bring that gift by. ;)

~Grant- Thanks! To you too! (What does that mean, though? lol I mean...I know it means happy birthday, but is it like a movie reference or something? Because I totally don't get it. But that's nothing new.)

~Penelope- Thanks! Yeah, you stepped right into my perfect day, lol! I'm sure I'll have some whiny, sad posts soon to balance it out though. :)

~Joni- Thankfully I can't tell the difference with the soy in my Starbucks drinks. Which is good because I can't tolerate the milk. It tends to make me vomit, and I don't really like to do that, lol.

Ahhhh....a massage! Lucky you! Now THAT would've been an awesome topper to the perfect day evah! Now I have massage envy. :)

It's not a reference, just my silly way of saying Happy Birthday.
